Enactus

Founded in 1975, Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) was a global, non-profit organization that promotes free enterprise education on more than 1800 university campuses in 45 countries until 2012 Woldcup when it changed its name to Enactus. Enactus offers university students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise. Enactus students take back to the society what they have learnt in class by teaching free enterprise with an intense founded passion to improve the standard of living.
To realize these, Enactus teams create educational outreach projects that aim to teach market economics, entrepreneurship, personal financial and success skills, and business ethics. Each year Enactus regional and national competitions are held around the world, bringing together students and business leaders to pay tribute to these educational outreach projects.
CONCEPT
College/University students undertake projects, which educate and improve communities in th e following aspects.
·         Market Economics
·         Success Skills
·         Entrepreneurship
·         Financial Literacy
·         Business Ethics
·         Sustainability
They then compete, as different University SIFE teams, to determine who made the most impact.
There is a National Enactus competition held in each of the 45 countries where Enactus has its presence. The National Champions, from each of the 45 countries, then proceed to the Enactus world cup where they compete against each other for the title of Enactus World Champions
