Experience

SIFE projects provide a platform for many students to practice the theory learnt in class and also test their leadership skills. SIFE Kenya organizes periodically seminars, workshop for SIFE teams to train them on leadership, entrepreneurial skills and also through this seminars and workshop we are able to interact with the business community with which we make connection with our future employers.

It’s not only for the competition but for the opportunity to meet the vulnerable in the society and trying to uplift them from their challenges.

The biggest experience is learning how to work in a team. All SIFE activities are team work with everyone in the team playing an important role in seeing through the projects from the start to completion. With team work Together Everyone Achieves More [TEAM]

”I have gained so much exposure in different business sectors. One of the most memorable projects is the set up of a greenhouse in kibera. I was appointed project leader while i was still relatively new in the team this turned out to be an exciting and challenging experience. A part from seeing the successful completion of the project, i gained all the know-how and contacts i needed to set up and manage a greenhouse. I shared my ideas and experience with my parents and your guess is right, a greenhouse is up and running at home.

I have been able to meet other SIFE students and alumni and exchange ideas and i can clearly say that SIFE stretches your thinking and nurtures innovativeness.
